Work offline with no signal
Keep working in basements and rural jobs. The app saves your changes and sends them when you're back online.
Included on the Growth plan. Compare plans
On the Growth plan, the app keeps working when you lose signal. Screens you've already opened still load, and field work you do waits on your phone until you're back online.
What works offline
- Screens you've opened before: Today, the Schedule, visits, jobs and customers load from the copy saved on your phone.
- Clock in and clock out: the time you tapped is kept, not the time it syncs.
- Visit updates: notes, checklist ticks, and marking a visit complete (or reopening it).
- Photos: job and visit photos are saved on your phone and uploaded later.
What needs a connection
- Anything you haven't opened before on this phone.
- Creating or editing quotes, customers, invoices and expenses, sending emails, and On my way.
- Changing the schedule or the team.
How you'll know
A small bar near the bottom of the screen tells you what's going on:
- Offline · showing saved info: you're looking at the saved copy.
- Offline · 2 changes will sync: your changes are waiting on your phone.
- Syncing 2 changes…: they're being sent now.
- 2 changes waiting · tap to sync: you're back online; tap the bar to send them right away.
Changes send on their own when signal comes back, when you reopen the app, or every minute while you have signal. They're sent in the order you made them.
Things to know
- Sync within a day. A clock in or out that syncs more than 24 hours later is recorded at the time it syncs.
- If the office deleted a visit while you were offline, your change to it can't be saved. The bar tells you which change didn't sync.
- Don't sign out with changes waiting. Signing out clears everything saved on the phone, including unsent changes. The app warns you first.
Tip: Before heading somewhere with no signal, open Today and the visits you'll need while you still have a connection, so they're saved on your phone.
