Send your first quote

Build a quote with your prices, email it to your customer, and let them sign it online.

Quotes are called Proposals in the web app menu. They're the same thing.

Build the quote

  1. Open Work → Proposals and click New proposal.
  2. Type a Title, like "New garage door, 16x7".
  3. Pick the Customer, or click New customer to add one.
  4. Add a Scope of work: what you'll do, in plain words.
  5. Under Base scope, click Add line item for each part or service. Enter a name, quantity and price.
  6. Under Pricing & terms, set sales tax, a discount, a Deposit and a Quote valid until date if you want them. (To fill these in automatically on every new quote, set your defaults in Settings → Proposals.)
  7. Click Save.

Send it

  1. Click Send to customer.
  2. We email your customer a link to the quote, and the link goes live.

If the customer has no email on file, the link still goes live. Copy it from the Public link box and text or email it yourself.

Need to send it again later? Click Resend on the quote.

Heads up: Click Save before Send to customer so your latest changes are included.

What your customer sees

Your customer opens a page with your logo and colors. They review the work, sign it online, and pay the deposit if you asked for one (once you've connected Stripe). When they sign, we email you at the email in Settings → Branding.
