Choices and optional items

Give your customer a choice instead of a single price. They pick what they want on the quote, the total updates as they go, and they sign for exactly what they chose.

There are two kinds:

• Choices (customer picks one): for example three faucets, or Good / Better / Best packages. Each choice can have a photo.
• Optional items (customer can add): extras they can tick, like a wireless keypad or a smart opener.

Both sit below the Base scope, which is always included.

Add choices

1. Open the quote in Work → Proposals.
2. Click Add choices (customer picks one). A group appears with two choices, "Good" and "Better".
3. Give the group a heading, like "Choose your faucet".
4. For each choice, type a name (e.g. "Delta Leland") and an optional short description.
5. Click the upload button next to the name to add a photo your customer sees.
6. Add the line items that make up that choice. A choice can be one item or a whole package.
7. Click Add a choice for more. Pick which one is Preselected; that's the one shown first and used in the preview total.
8. Click Save.

Add optional items

1. Click Add optional items (customer can add).
2. Give the group a heading, like "Optional add-ons".
3. For each item, fill in the name, description, qty, unit and price. Add a photo if you like.
4. Tick On by default for anything you want already added when your customer opens the quote. They can still untick it.
5. Click Add optional item (or Add from catalog) for more, then Save.

To remove a whole group, click Remove on its card.

What your customer sees

• Each choice shows as a card with its photo, name and price. They tap one to select it.
• Optional items show with a checkbox and a "+ price". They tap to add or remove.
• The total and deposit update as they choose. When they sign, their selection is locked in, and the signed quote and PDF show what they picked.
• If Show prices to customer is off, they still see the price of each choice and add-on, but not the price of every line inside a package.

On your phone

In the app, tap Edit on a quote, then Add choices (customer picks one) or Add optional items (customer can add). Tap the circle or checkbox to set what's preselected, and tap the photo square to add a picture. A choice made of several line items shows its total; change its items on the web.
