Send a quote and track it
Email a quote to your customer, resend it, or copy its link, and see which quotes are drafts, sent, signed or expired.
Sending a quote emails your customer a link to a page with your logo and colors, where they can review it, pick options and sign.
Send it from the web
- Open the quote in Work → Proposals and click Save.
- Click Send to customer.
- The quote is emailed to the customer's email address and its link goes live.
If the customer has no email on file, the link still goes live and you'll see a message saying so. Copy the link and send it yourself.
Resend it
Customer lost the email? Open the quote and click Resend, or click the paper-plane icon next to it in the Proposals list and confirm. They get the same email again, with the same link.
You can resend a quote that's Sent. A draft needs Send to customer first, a signed quote is done, and an expired quote needs a new valid-until date (or a revised copy) before you can resend it.
Copy the link
Every quote has a Public link card at the bottom of the editor.
- Click the copy icon next to the link.
- Paste it into a text message, your own email, or anywhere else.
- Click Open to see the page exactly as your customer does.
A draft has no customer link yet, so Open is greyed out until you click Send to customer.
Send it from your phone
- In the app, open the quote from Quotes.
- Tap Email and confirm with Send. (The customer needs to be added first.)
- Or tap Get link to make the link live without emailing, then Share link to send it by text or any app.
Already sent? Tap Resend to email it again.
Track where each quote stands
The Proposals list shows a status for every quote:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Draft | Still being built. Your customer can't see it. |
| Sent | The link is live and waiting for a signature. |
| Signed | Your customer signed it. Its contents are locked. |
| Expired | Sent, but past its Quote valid until date, so it can't be signed. |
The same words show at the top of each quote. Only your customer's signature makes a quote Signed; you can't set it by hand.
For signed quotes, the Billing column shows whether you've invoiced yet and whether the invoice is paid.
In the app, the Open, Signed and All tabs filter your quotes, and each one shows when it was sent or signed.
When your customer signs
- You get an email at the business email in Settings → Branding.
- With push notifications on (Pro), your phone gets a "Quote signed" alert.
- The quote moves to Signed and you can create the job and invoice from it. See Jobs from signed quotes.
